The attorneys and staff at The Amlong Firm in Fort Lauderdale are as diverse as our clients.

Shareholder Karen Coolman Amlong has been active in women's rights issues in Florida and is the first woman to be elected as a state legislator from Broward County. Before becoming a lawyer, Shareholder Bill Amlong was an investigative reporter for the Miami Herald who covered national politics.

Attorney Jennifer Daley grew up in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She is one of six children of a fishing family, all of whom were recruited to attend college in the United States. Following law school, Jennifer Daley clerked for a judge in the First District Court of Appeal of Florida.

Our staff members include a columnist on issues faced by gay and bisexual women, a professional musician whose day job is IT, a receptionist who owns a Jamaican restaurant in the Caribbean, the devout Catholic grandson of a labor organizer and a gay, tattooed bodybuilder.

Above all, we are trial lawyers. Our opponents know we are willing to go to try cases, and we obtain settlements that are generally better than those obtained by lawyers with a reputation for being reluctant to go to court.
